Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Agua Fresca coffee grown?
On our family's estate in Jinotega, Nicaragua, inside the Cerro Datanlí–El Diablo Nature Reserve. Our 100% Arabica beans are shade grown at 1,300–1,500 meters, hand-picked, washed with natural spring water, and sun-dried.

What does direct trade mean for you?
We grow, harvest, and roast our own coffee, so there's no middleman between our farm and your cup. That lets us control quality and freshness at every step and directly support the farmers who grow it.

What's the difference between your medium and dark roast?
Our Medium Roast (Los Milagros) is smooth and balanced with gentle acidity and a clean finish. Our Dark Roast (La Escondida) is bolder and richer. Both are roasted from the same single-origin beans from our farm.

Should I buy whole bean or ground?
Whole bean stays fresh longer, and grinding right before you brew gives you the fullest flavor. Choose ground if you'd rather open the bag and brew right away.

What sizes do you sell?
Every roast comes in a 12 oz (340 g) bag or a 5 lb bag. The 5 lb bag is the better value per pound and a great fit for offices, families, and daily coffee drinkers.

How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days and ship anywhere in the U.S. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Every bag is sealed fresh and packed with eco-friendly materials.

What is your return policy?
If you're not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to request a return or exchange. Items must be unopened and in their original condition. Refunds are issued once we receive and inspect the returned item.
